Water depletion a common practice in fitness and bodybuilding. We want to come in dry with the least about of water retention but still have full muscles. I see lot of competitors using distilled water in the last few days before competition which is a bad idea. A lot of the times their coach tells them to do this because it’s an old school practice which I don’t like, here is my thoughts on water intake and different a kinds of water. It’s hard to gauge the sodium content of tap water. Distilled water will actually leech electrolytes out of your body. By leaching water out of your muscles, distilled water can make you appear flat.
